Agenda
2025
Empowerment. Enrichment . Elevation.
Who are we?
Muslim Agenda is a movement. Our name was coined to subvert the perception of Muslims as perpetually having an ‘Agenda’. Our real Agenda? The empowerment, elevation and enrichment of Muslim women.
This is a platform created by and for muslim women. A place were we are represented in all our shades (and hijabs), across cultures, disciplines and denominations.
Now more than ever, Muslim women need a space to heal, interrogate and thrive. We launched Australia’s first festival of it’s kind in Sydney 2022, honouring the strength and brilliance of Muslim women and returned to Melbourne in 2024 with unmatched excitement and energy. These festivals were filled with panel discussions, one-on-one workshops, creative and interactive exhibitions, food and arts stalls and more.
We will continue to celebrate extraordinary achievements, spark impactful conversations, and connect with a community that celebrates authenticity while shattering stereotypes.
Feedback from our community
“The energy felt like a mini utopia where it was just us and we don’t have a give disclaimers we just are who we are. The range of panellists was so great and really represented such a vast cross section in our community.”
“I was left in awe and never prouder to be an Australian Muslim woman. Many of us walked away with a renewed sense or purpose and belonging.”
“The most professional and inspiring event I have been to in years, So nice to be surrounded by so many intelligent strong women MashAllah.”
